Geographic Numbers

It is a geographic number for use with your IP phone or PBX. It enables callers to contact you from all over the world as well as you being able to contact anyone, wherever you are, on the same Geographic Number. You can choose a number from anywhere in the UK. You pay a monthly rental fee of £0.99p. There is an additional charge of £10.00 which is a one-off fee. NTA:Ltd has over 4 million numbers, some more desirable and memorable than others, consequently having a higher purchase price.

Take advantage of a virtual number

With VoIP a number becomes Virtual, this means we can place any number to any location. For example, you are working in London but want to advertise in Manchester and want to seem local to the customer. Now you can....simply purchase a UK Geographic number from Manchester and ask us to place that number over your 020 (London) number.

When a customer dials your purchased Manchester number it rings through to you in London with the customer none the wiser. What's more impressive is the ability to have caller Id on any incoming calls from that number, e.g. Manchester advert, giving you complete control over the advert placed and how successful it was!

Something about landlines

A landline is the typical name given to a hard wired telephone service which comes in to a building. This was first named after people needed to state the difference between a fixed phone and a mobile. Since the revolution of VoIP and all the good features that come with the service, it has become even more apparent that this description needs to be made clear. I guess the next question would be, is a VoIP service a landline? The next generation of calling will be the ability to have a Geographic mobile. I don't mean a geographic number simply forwarded to a mobile, I mean a true geo-mobile.

It was made a little clearer a few years ago when mobiles all started with the "area code" 075 to 079 (any number below for example 07412 or 07000, is a personnel number and you pay a higher premium to call them and these are definitely NOT including in a bundled minute package).
